Trying out Temporary Color.

If  you've read a number of my posts, you'll know that I'm not a fan of coloring hair because of it's tendency to dry out our kinks which are already susceptible to dryness. That is not to say I don't like the look of it - at various points in my life I've had my hair dyed blonde, redhead, chestnut and copper lol!

Each time though, I had to chop off my hair and start afresh because of the damage it caused.
Now I know better. Even though these days there are more ammonia and peroxide free coloring products to lessen the harsh effects of coloring hair, I have no inclination to go down that route (at least not yet)

So imagine my surprise and excited interest when I came across an array of temporary 'spray on' colors at Casabella - the beauty supply store  at The Palms. I made sure to go online to read reviews and also to watch a few YouTube videos of people who had used it and I decided to go ahead and purachase one in 'Auburn'.

In truth, it had been on my dresser for over a month and a couple of days ago I remembered it and decided to give my puff a bit of a 'dressing up' So sleeked my hair up into my customary puff and then held the spray about 10 inches away from my hair and in short bursts, sprayed it all over and I LOVED the results!!!!!

By the end of the day, it had started to fade and by the time I ran my hands through to braid it for bed, all the color had come off on my hands. The following day, emboldened by the fact that the color can come off that easily, I sprayed even more liberally lol. I got loads and loads of compliments and I definitely enjoyed the new look.

By the time I washed my hair this morning, everything came out completely and my hair didn't feel any different in terms of dryness etc. I will definitely be experimenting with more colors.

Color washed out very easily

Till  my next post!

  1. Ooo! I want to try too! I'm going to be on the lookout for this product. I've been itching to add some color, but like you, didn't think it was worth ruining my hair!

There are technological solutions like the shampoo for natural hair which are meant to serve those with real hair. It is equally important to realize that curly hair products are crucial for the people who have natural hair care curls. There is no exception to the trend of following celebs when it comes to natural hair weave. Medical professionals also recommend the natural hair products which are best for people with real hair.
