Hello beautiful people! It's been tooooo long!!! My goodness. I have so much to fill you up on as so much has been happening, but today we will start with our recently concluded Natural Hair Workshop, which held on the 20th and 21st of April.

Part of our mission at KL's Natural Beauty Bar is to equip stylists and hands on Naturalistas with knowledge and techniques, and in fulfilling this mission, we try to organize regular workshops to educate and train people in the science of hair, proper ways of handling hair and styling tips/ techniques.

Our recently concluded workshop focused on maintaining, nurturing and growing natural hair; and building regimens for different hair types.

Hi Dolls!

It's been a minute!!! So much happening, so much going on, so thankful!!! So KL's Natural Beauty Bar will be having it's first training session next week from the 25th to the 27th of April!!! This has been a dream of mine and I just needed to bite the bullet and go for it!

So, it will be 3 days where I will be teaching about the Science of Hair, how to manage and maintain Natural Hair textures and also how to style Natural hair into fabulous, eye catching styles!!

Venue is 66 Bode Thomas Street, Suru Lere and time is 9am to 4pm daily. Cost is 15,000 for one day or 30,000 for all 3 days.

Working With Design Essentials Nigeria!!!!

I'm so amazed at how God works and seemingly orchestrates things for His own plan that unfolds little by little before our eyes. For a very long time in my life, speaking in front of people was a MAJOR challenge for me. I remember speaking about it in this post where I said  a few years ago, I decided to conquer my fear of public speaking and signed up for a course at the Lagos Business School - I didn't realise then that I was going to change careers and it would be coming in very very  handy!

I got the pleasure of meeting the representatives of Design Essentials Nigeria last year and it's been a very rewarding relationship so far. Somewhere along the line, I was asked to be a part of the team - starting as a technician and working my way up as an educator which would mean I'd help  train teams of stylists  either in salons where the products are stocked or where there's an event, and also be part of the styling team where necessary when Design Essentials are sponsors. I started the training process and made the team!

Sights and Sounds From The 2015 Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show.

My goodness!! It's been an intense last couple of days for sure. Not only did I get to attend the show but I also signed up for Taliah Waajid's intense 3 days hands on training seminar.

I got into Atlanta the night before the show was to begin and tried to sleep but trust Jetlag and different time zones, I was up by 1.30am and struggled to get back to bed. Saturday morning, I managed to drag myself to the venue and immediately perked up once I got inside the exhibition hall and was enveloped by the sights and sounds of the show.

Entwine Couture had a very busy stand as they did a number of raffle draws

Blonde spikes - bold and beautiful!

I loved this lady's total look!

It was definitely a hair product and fashion lover's haven. Rows of stalls with well known brand names with old and new product lines, live hair styling demonstrations, unique jewelry pieces, hair and fashion accessories etc. I was immediately (albeit temporarily) cured of my jetlag loll.
