Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp Conditioner Has Captured My Heart!

Okay, I've used  A LOT of rinse out conditioners and leave ins in the last 4 years (one year during my relaxed hair journey and in the last 3 years of my natural hair journey) and a lot of conditioners I've used have been - bleh, good, okay, not worth it or just plain horrible. When I really want a good co wash with lots of slip I rotate between VO5 Moisture Milks (Strawberries and Cream) and Aussie Moist Conditioner (Tresemme Naturals seems to have stopped doing anything for my hair for some weird reason).
My go to leave in conditioner for a long while has been Kinky Curly Knot Today and I haven't had any complaints - enter Oyin Handmade Hemp Conditioner! I wasn't actually on the look out for a new conditioner oh! I had recently taken stock of some of their products and decided to try a few just to see what the fuss was about (their products have rave reviews online).

Packed weekend at the African Fashion Week Nigeria 2015 and the Nigerian Natural Hair Show!!

Boy! What a busy busy day Saturday was!!! Starting off with my first May bride in Magodo (thankfully, I had done most of the work the night before so there wasn't that much to do on the day of) I was up early so I could get there, and finish styling her.

Her style was pretty straightforward - she wanted loads of curls falling to her face in an updo so we decided to go for some crochet braids in the crown of her hair to give long lasting curls (so she could also enjoy the hair during her honeymoon). Hair was pre curled on small rods before hand and then I swept her hair up, cornrowed and crocheted the curls in. She loved it and everyone was oohing and aahing at the curls and wanted to get it done asap lol.

So! If you're a hair someborry, then you must know Dabs over at Naijahaircangrow (and Savvy and Chic Hair and Beauty Hub). Well, you may also know that usually, she organizes a salon day out where there are loads of vendors, hair, health and beauty talks as well as styling and product demonstrations.

Welllllllllllll, the up and coming Salon Day out billed for Sunday the 7th of June 2015 promises to be even more AHHHMAZING ( emphasis mine hehehehe). In this edition, there's going to be a 'Battle of the Hairlistas' (ghen! ghen!) where anyone who thinks they can style hair in creative ways, gets to battle it out with other contenders.

My product haul from the World Natural Hair Show 2015 Plus a Little Birthday Surprise!

Some of the stuff I bought - some Dominican shampoo and conditioner, Hicks Edges, Entwine Couture, Jane Carter, Mielle Organics

Ah! Naija beckons and I'm ready to face everything that Lagos has to offer lol. I won't lie though, I am thoroughly pleased that the fuel scarcity decided to turn up when I was away. Judging from the updates and messages I was seeing and getting, that was one thing I sure did not miss.

Anyhoos, so I promised to show more pictures from the hair show plus some of my product haul. The deals were AMAZING particularly on the final day. For example the Hicks Edges that normally retails from anywhere between 1$2 and $15  was being sold at 3 for $27 on the first day and then 3 for $20 on the last day!!! Jane Carter Nourish and Shine which normally retails for about $22 was being sold at $10!
I have since tried this and my hair loved it!

Very light oil, doesn't leave the hair feeling weighed down at all!

Some of the freebies that were being handed out. I actually had to start turning them down when they were continually being offered.
