Anyone who knows me will know that I've never really been a weave person - give me braids any time!! However sometime late last year, I saw this lovely natural textured weave on the cousin of a bride I was working on, got the details and decided a few weeks ago that I was ready to have it in.
So I got 3 bundles in 14, 16 and 18 inch lengths and after a good wash and deep condition, I went ahead and had the bundles sewn in.
I had the lady doing my hair 'didi' my hair as opposed to regular cornrows and then she proceeded to sew it in - it didn't take too long and I was done in no time.
The hair didn't come with any closure so I decided to leave my hair out in a center part and it blends so well! I've had some people stare at me with their jaws open thinking this was all my hair lolll.
As much as I love the hair though I wish I had just done 2 bundles of 16 because I think the 18 is kinda obviously longer in the back and the texture is a little curlier.
Anyway, I still love it! My basic routine for this is spray with water in the morning, fluff it and I'm good to go.
Will be back with updates about it and how well it's doing in terms of maintenance.
Wow, this is really beautiful! I've only done 1 or 2 sew-ins in my life because I'm not a weave person either. However, you and a few others are making me a believer. What are the details on this one?
