One of the things I'm blessed to do is train stylists in the use of products from the Design Essentials Natural Range. As an Educator for DE, when they need to either increase the knowledge and skill base of new technicians or train stylists in a salon that has recently become a DE partner; I get to come in and show the different ways and methods the products can be used and the different styles that can be achieved.
So recently, DE had signed on new partner salons in Warri, Delta State and also in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where they will soon be launching and as such had a few stylists come down to Lagos to get some training in the use of the products,
Wondrous - the amazing stylist behind Wondrous Hair was in charge of the Salon System line (relaxers et all) and so the stylists had a couple of days with her. I then took over for the next couple of days, taking them through the Natural Line.

One of the products I really like in the Natural range is the Defining creme gel - gives a nice hold without any of the stiffness while still moisturizing the hair. Another good one is the Honey Curl Forming custard - we used these 2 products for twist outs, finger curls, a flexi rod set and for a flat twist out.

Don't you just love her green hair! |
The twist and set lotion is another favorite of the salon - they give a great hold and shine and we always use them for perm rod sets. And saving the best for last - the edge tamer!!! Love it!!
They've recently launched 2 new lines - The Coconut and Monoi Line and the Quinoa and Bamboo Line. I got a number of products from the Coconut and Monoi Line so shall be reviewing that shortly :)
It was an amazing couple of days training, styling and learning with these lovely people!
Of course at the end of it all we took loads of pictures, clowned around and generally enjoyed the different characters represented there!
Such Fierce Concentration! |
Showing what skills they've learned. |
